Andrew Loo
PM. Builder. Recovering physicist.
Foolishly building things at the edge of AI, XR, and curiosity.
About Me
I'm Andrew, an ex-physicist turned product manager who has a compulsive habit to tinker. Most days, you'll find me talking to customers or engineers and quietly wondering if there's a better, simpler way to do things. Off the clock, I'm either stuck on a math brain teaser, trying to cook the perfect French omelette, or debating whether "just one more" side project (or hobby) is a good idea.
I like to think my edge is equal parts curiosity, structure, and the willingness to get my hands dirty—whether I'm debugging a data platform or learned the next card magic trick that will make me the next David Blaine.

Product Mindset
My approach and core principles as a product manager, shaped by experience and a healthy dose of curiosity.
Simplicity over cleverness
but never at the cost of usability: I value clear, intuitive design. Creativity or minimalism is only an improvement if it makes life easier for users.
Curiosity as a superpower
I'm known for asking too many questions and that's a feature, not a bug.
In the weeds, but self-aware
I love going deep, but know it can be a double-edged sword. Overanalysis is a risk I work to manage.
Connect the dots
I draw on lessons from science, art, and everywhere else. The best product ideas usually come from cross-pollinating worlds.
Human-centric teams
Great teams are built through understanding. I'll always invest in learning my teammate's "love language"—how they think and communicate best.
Observe, don't just ask
I love watching how real people use a product. We learn most from watching how users actually behave, not just what they say they want.
Great ideas can come from anyone
Like Chef Gusteau in Ratatouille said, "Anyone can cook." I believe anyone can spark or spot a great product idea.
Success means alignment
Data matters, but only if everyone agrees on what "winning" looks like before we start. Shifting targets mid-flight helps no one.
Product Breakdowns
Deep dives into products I find interesting, analyzing what makes them tick and what we can learn from their approach.
Bee AI
Onboarding and retention lessons from a next-gen writing assistant.
Snipd
Audio UX that powers microlearning habits.
Gumloop
Viral mechanics and feedback loops in GenAI playgrounds.
More breakdowns coming soon. Follow me on LinkedIn for the latest updates.
